The purpose of a CV Boot Kit is to connect your vehicles transmission to the wheels. It acts as a transfer of a constant speed torque to the wheels as well as supporting the up and down suspension motion.
It is designed to cover all the CV Joints that attach to each end of a drive shaft, this also protects it by preventing water damage and stops loss of grease.
If you have found your CV Boot damaged, replacing it with a CV Boot Kit can prevent expensive CV damage, or a worse case, the need to replace the whole drive shaft.
